I've personally tried one of the CCTV cameras and one of the dome cameras just to be able to make my personal preference. A dome camera is perfect for my home because I can easily hide it on the ceiling near the garage door and still have a clear view of anyone who will pass and enter the garage. I didn't want to install a very big weather proof security camera because I didn't want the neighbors to think I have something suspicious that I want to protect. With the CCTV cameras, it's a bit bulky, but I can do so much with it. It's easy to mount on a wall or even a ceiling. I found one that has a sturdy mount that I can move and turn easily to give me the perfect angle, but I still think it's too big for my home. It fits perfectly though for the small warehouse that I have and at the marina where I keep my yacht. A dome camera doesn't fit that well when mounted on a wooden post in the marina, so I chose to have a CCTV camera that I can tweak around even from afar to give me a good view of anything that happens. Before you make your purchase of a good hidden camera, make sure you drop by the site to give you useful information and updates about them.
